Who wants to be a Web Designer?

Internet novices such as Regis Philbin (host of Who Wants to be a Millionaire) once said that websites are overcrowded with information and is hard to read. Yet, designers continue to create unreadable and forgettable websites because their priority is to put all the information in one space. If condensed information is not the problem, it is too many pages that link with each by countless number of buttons.

A website can carry millions of information and still be simple in architecture. For instance, an online dictionary can only ask the user for the input keyword and it will list the results upon confirmation. Simplicity of design allows website viewers to easily remember the information.

Complex graphic design is not the sole answer. The concept behind the design is more important because it can communicate with the viewer. It must also be original so that it is incomparable to others. Imitation is futile because you will lose in the competition.

A quality website has simplicity, interactivity and marketability.
